Nature Spotting with Andy Craven at Minard

Today Andy Craven came to visit us at Minard school. The day was based broadly on a nature spotting boxes sheet carried and filled in by each pupil. We chatted about the reasons why we should not touch animals or plants until we told a teacher or adult. Then we headed out and left past fire station, over the burn and up the Garvachy track to fill out our spotting forms and collect some of the things to take back. Back at the school grounds and we talked with Andy about mushrooms and plants and safety. We looked and found some mushrooms some of which were safe to eat and some of which were not. We had 10 minutes or so each with the camera to capture wildlife we couldn't pick or touch. We hope you like our results!
