On Thursday the 11^th the children in P4/7 in both schools joined Kilmartin museum for an archaeological dig at Carnasserie Mor (behind the castle). This is a national initiative called ‘Dig It’ to encourage everyone to get interested in archaeology and the dig at Carnesserie was on for two weeks with local schools invited to come along and ‘dig’ for treasure. We had a lovely day and the children found a variety of things including bits of pottery and a stone that looked as if it would have been used for sharpening knives.
