Welcome to Furnace Primary School

Furnace Primary school is a small rural school which occupies a central position in the village of Furnace, Argyll.

Furnace Primary is proud of its caring and relaxed environment in which each child is encouraged to develop to his/her full potential in all areas of school work and life to develop as independent, creative and confident individuals who respect the views,opinions and beliefs of others.

The use of praise by staff and high expectations of behaviour and effort, help establish a welcoming learning environment and purposeful atmosphere throughout the school.

The welcoming, friendly ethos of the school has been noted by many visitors to the school and we are very proud of this.

Staff strive to achieve a well ordered environment, encouraging pupils to show positive attitudes to their work and towards others and to achieve good attendance and behaviour.
